HVS
Antenna Pattern Measurement System is ideal for making quick, accurate,
and cost effective measurement of antenna
patterns. Some of the other applications
include radiated emission measurements
and radar cross section (RCS) measurements.
Since HVS is directly engaged in R&D,
it offers customers technical knowledge
and experience for customizing the system
and software to suit their needs.
In
this method, the probe antenna is supported
fixed in space, while the antenna under
test is stepped in angle about the azimuth axis.
This system can provide complete angular
coverage of the test antenna's field in
one plane. By mouting the antennas with the polarization
rotated 90°, both E-Plane and H-Plane patterns can be
measured. The software can control various
network analyzers used to transmit and
receive microwave signals from the test
and probing antennas. The software completely
automates the calibration process, as
well as data acquisition and data plotting
functions (polar, linear, and surface
plots).
The user can either make single point
(Fast C.W.) measurements or sweep over
a frequency range and implement time domain
gating. The software also communicates
with the positioner controller. The positioning
system and the measurement system can
be custom tailored for your specific application
needs.
