For several of the material
technologies of interest today, the HVS Free Space Microwave
Materials Measurement System is a necessity for product
evaluation. Since HVS is directly engaged in this research,
it offers customers the technical knowledge and experience
for properly implementing the system for a variety of specific
applications.

Automated Free Space Measurement System
HVS has designed and
developed a completely automated version of the Free Space
Microwave Materials Measurement System for microwave and
mm-wave characterization of objects under test. The system
consists of nine computer-controlled servo positioning axes.
The system can be customized to meet user specifications -
for example, only the antenna polarization can be automated
or the travel lengths can be specified.

Antenna Pattern Measurement System
This system is ideal
for making quick, accurate, and cost effective measurement
of antenna patterns. Ideally suited for easy testing of
prototype antennas. This system can also be used for making
radiated emission and radar cross section (RCS) measurements.

Automated Inspection and Correction System
This system can simultaneously
measure and correct the insertion phase difference of large
bodies, such as radomes. This is an automated turnkey system
that can be used for enhancing radar/radome performance.
This system can also be used for surface resistivity or
electromagnetic property mapping on large objects. This
system is completely automated by software, which controls
all the servo positioning systems as well as the microwave
measurement system

Microwave Fixtures
HVS can design custom
microwave fixture for your specific application. These fixtures
can be used to make microwave measurements, such as shielding
effectiveness measurements, at frequencies below 2 GHz.
HVS has expertise in Coaxial fixture (ASTM D4935), Dual
TEM Cell, Resonant Cavities, Surface/Volume Resistivity
measurements, and other probes.
